Chef Karl Breaux is a French speaking Cajun who was born in
Lafayette. He has worked in his family's business, Breaux Mart, all of his life. From doing missionary work in Central America to filming episodes of Cajun Karl's Cooking Adventures in Canada, his love of Acadiana has been honed by his involvement in many local causes and organizations. Outdoor activities, such as hunting, kayaking and, especially, fishing with his daughter are some of his favorite past times. He is optimistic with a strong faith in the good in people. Karl also writes a regular Mmt...C'est Bon column for The Acadian, where he discusses Cajun cooking spiced with stories from his childhood and lifestyle in Southwest Louisiana.
