Gwen Fontenot, Ph.D, co-owner & publisher
Gwen F. Fontenot, Ph.D., co-owner of Bonnes Nouvelles Publishing and publisher for The Acadian, is a native of Vidrine in Evangeline Parish. Gwen earned a bachelor of science degree in business education, a master’s of business administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a doctorate of philosophy with a major in marketing from the University of North Texas. An assistant professor of marketing and head of the Marketing and Hospitality Department at UL Lafayette, Gwen has extensive experience in publishing, marketing research and small business management. read more
Dawna Waterbury, Editor and co-owner
Dawna, a lifelong resident of Acadiana, brings a diverse background to The Acadian®. Her experience is steeped in strategic marketing and entrepreneurial ventures. She is the Executive Vice President of Performance Benefits, Inc., a Louisiana-based financial services company with offices in Denver, Colorado and Sikeston, Missouri, that provides financial solutions for the underbanked population in the U.S. Prior to co-owning The Acadian® and joining Performance Benefits, Inc., Dawna worked as marketing consultant on projects ranging from Strategic Positioning for computer software companies to Website Usability Studies for an exclusive international retailer. read more
Angela Guillory, General Sales Manager
Angela Guillory brings much talent and many innovative ideas to The Acadian® as General Sales Manager. In addition to being sales team leader, Angela will also serve our Opelousas-based customers. Prior to joining The Acadian®, Angela, who has a solid background in sales and marketing, was an administrative manager at Lowe's in Opelousas. She is a graduate of Belmont Academy in Opelousas and has a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Angela is also a state-licensed realtor and works with Van Eaton and Romero Realtors in Opelousas. read more
Crystal Snider, Graphic Artist
Crystal is a life-long resident of Acadiana who lives in Carencro with her husband Michael and her 12 year old daughter Allison. Crystal has an Associate's Degree in Desktop Publishing / Graphic Design from Louisiana Technical College in Lafayette. In addition to bringing eight years of graphic design experience to The Acadian®, Crystal also shares her talent with Hulco Printers of Scott. read more
